Our ability to handle our bike as a triathlete plays a huge role in our safety, comfort, and performance. This video herein is the first of a 3-part series in which I will bee delving into beginner, intermediate, and advanced bike skills and drills for triathletes to master. Not all of these skills and drills are specific to just triathletes and, therefore, road cyclists can benefit from many of these skills and drills as well.
In this video, I cover basic bike skills and drills, including:
1. Walking with your bike by its saddle
2. Riding in a straight line
3. Riding one-handed
4. Riding in tight figure 8s
These beginner drills and skills, when mastered, will lead to big improvements in your bike handling abilities and will improve your overall confidence and safety on the bike. In turn, you will be able to navigate race courses better and will improve your bike split from this increase in confidence and handling ability!
I hope you enjoy the first of this 3-part series that I will bring to you in the coming months. As always, please leave comments/questions down below!
Happy training and racing!
